Cross-cultural Psychiatry

Nowadays new psychiatry directions have increased interest in the study of the contribution of sociocultural factors.

The study of cross-cultural psychiatry emphasizes the influence of culture on the patterning of sick roles, on attitudes toward the emotionally ill, and on the kinds of behavior pattern seen in emotional illness.
