Did you know that…..

Psychiatry of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries considered Sexual Perversions to be a form of “degeneracy” caused by hereditary and taint, and often associated with physical stigmata of degeneracy ?

It was not until 1968 that the American Psychiatry Association removed of the list of “Sexual Perversions” any sexual practices.

Cesare Lombroso Theory

Did you know that…..

the Italian criminologist Cesare Lombroso (1836-1909) maintained that the “congenital criminal” was either an atavistic or a degenerate type, and that such atavistic or degenerate characteristics could be detected by means of physical stigmata ?

Lombroso in his later writings modified his views in the direction of a more environmentalist approach.
