according to a recent survey 76% of EU citizens have consumed alcoholic beverages in the past 12 months ?
–24% claim to be abstained.
–49% of consumers drink between 1 and 3 times a week and 69% of them usually have 1 or 2 drinks in each session and 10% have 5 drinks or more.
This survey (EU citizens’ attitudes towards alcohol) has been carried out in the European Union and published in April 2010 in the Eurobarometer 331. It covers the population 15 years and over of the respective nationalities of the European Union Member. (*)
