Children born to chronic alcoholic mothers may have the Fetal Alcohol Syndrome?

This Syndrome includes anomalies such as microcephaly, micrognathia, blepharophimosis, cardiac defects, intrauterine growth retardation, and mental retardation

Since years are known adverse effects of intake of alcoholic beverages during pregnancy. The damage that alcohol can have on the fetus can be severe. But the most devastating effects occur in children of mothers with chronic alcoholism.
