Human milk contains nutritional substances ideal in quantity and quality for optimal growth and development of the infant ?.

Breast milk contains a lot of monounsaturated fatty acids, and lipase, this one facilitates the digestion of fat.

Human milk also has the highest lactose content of the mammalian milk, and large amounts of vitamins. Breast milk provides energy, and it is compatible with neonatal enzymes.

While the baby is breastfed receives the love and the smile of his mother. Breastfeeding the baby is also very important for the psychic health of the baby. This was demonstrated by the studies of René Spitz and John Bowlby.

Diazepam in Lactating Mothers

Did you know that…..

Diazepam is excreted in breast milk and causes lethargy, drowsiness, and loss of weight in breastfed infants ?

Others Benzodiazepines, Barbiturates, Antipsychotics, Lithium and Tricyclic Antidepressants drugs pass also into the breast milk. Those drugs must be avoided by nursing mothers because they are considered hazardous to the infant.
