In 1927, Courbon and Fail described a rare symptom in paranoid schizophrenia of what they called “The Illusion of Fregoli” ?

The Illusion of Fregoli is characterized by the identification of the “persecutor” in several person, a neighbor, a doctor, a brother, a policeman, a friend, etc. The patient identifies “his persecutor” in different faces as the famous italian actor Leopoldo Fregoli used to do on the stage.
